Baladin, Glass City Rollers "Rolling Out" Event Saturday March 29th at Liquid Ultra-Lounge, the Xtreme Girls are presenting "Baladin: A Celebration of Street Life" at Liquid Ultra-Lounge. The plans for this event are still in the works, so keep posted for more information! This event is a show unlike anything Toledo has ever seen! Presented by the Xtreme Girls, it will feature phenomenal dance performances by Paulette's Studio of Dance, performance artists, the guys from the CW's MonkeyDome, face & body art by AOD for both performers and attendees, and lots more! AOD has a select number of VIP tickets available for this event! These tickets are $10 and include an open bar from 8-10pm, the show at 11pm, and admission to Liquid all night long! Coming up on Saturday March 15th at Mickey Finn's Pub the Glass City Rollers will be having their "Rolling Out Party". The derby girls are inviting anyone that wants to support the league as skaters, support staff, sponsors, advertisers, or dedicated fans to come out for a great time! The Rolling Out party will feature live entertainment by local bands The Wide Awakes, Lame-O, and CL-1, Musical Chairs (Roller Derby Style!), a 50/50 raffle, GCR merchandise for sale, and lots more! Doors open at 8pm. Cover is $7 ($6 with a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Cherry St. Mission). We won't be participating in the event but, as their marketing coordinator, wanted to put out the word! New Spring Events! We just added a couple of new events to the calendar! First up is Monkeydome TV's "Pheromone - The Sexy Party" on Saturday Feb. 16th at Liquid Ultra-Lounge in Downtown Toledo. This promises to be a great night out! We'll be there offering some face and body art to make you look extra sexy starting at 11pm until 2am. The main event, however, is the taping of Monkeydome TV's own "The Dating Game" that will be broadcast on The CW Channel 5. There will also be a massage room, fantastic drink specials, thumping bass beats, and a special "In-Bar Valentine Delivery Service"! For just $1 you can send a drink to anyone in the bar, whether it's your date or the hottie across the room! Cover is $5. Doors open at 9pm. Liquid Ultra-Loungs is located at 25 S. Huron St. in Downtown Toledo adjacent to Fifth Third Field. On Saturday March 22nd, we'll be in Dayton at the Sixth Annual Celebrating Life and Health Fair sponsored by the Levin Family Foundation and Sinclair Community College. Last year over 2,200 people benefited from over 18,000 FREE health screenings! This event is free and open to everyone. Health screening participants can enter in drawings to win fabulous prizes from local sponsors. In addition, all attendees will get a free, healthy meal! We'll be there from 11am-3pm with face painting for kids of all ages. The event takes place at the Ponitz Center at Sinclair Community College (at the corner of Perry and Fourth Streets) in Dayton, OH. For more information, click here. The plans for this event are still in the works, so keep posted for more information! Upcoming Events Reminder We would like to take the time to remind you of a few of our upcoming events. First, tomorrow kicks off the Family Variety PAAC Series (which Air-O-Dynamic Design and Production is helping to sponsor!) with Magician Andrew Martin and his son Eli Martin. On Feb. 2nd there will be a performance by juggler Derek Dye, and on March 9th the Frisch Marionettes will be in town for a special performance. All shows take place at the Maumee Indoor Theatre in Downtown Maumee, Ohio. Don't forget to check the program for a special offer from Air-O-Dyanmic! We also are slated to appear at a couple of fantastic Mardi Gras events in the Toledo area. Friday January 1st is the 3rd Annual Queen Sancha Masquerade Ball at the Secor Building in Downtown Toledo. This spectacular event features a wide-range of entertainment and benefits the King Wamba Parade, part of the annual Old West End Festival. We will be at the event doing some festive face & body art. In addition, on Saturday Feb. 2nd, we will be providing Mardi Gras-themed face and body art at Mardi Gras at the Manor House, to benefit the Toledo Metroparks System. This event is held at the Wildwood Manor House. It promises to be a wonderful event with live music, New Orleans style food and entertainment offerings.
